Peanut butter and Banana Energy Bites

These peanut butter banana energy bites with chopped chocolate, and enriched with the 1.2.3 YOG Protein powder, are a delicious and filling snack.

Ingredients:

1 medium banana (80 g), mashed
¼ cup (60 g) peanut butter
1 sachet 1.2.3 YOG Protein Banana
8 tablespoons (80 g) rolled oats
1 square of dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, blend the banana together with the peanut butter. Add the remaining ingredients and grind until it forms a dough.
  2. Form ~20 balls with the dough, and store in the fridge.
  3. Eat as a snack, breakfast or dessert.

Serves more or less 20 energy balls. 

Nutritional Value (per portion): 219 kcal; 9,8 g of fat; 21,2 g of carbohydrates (6,9 g of sugars); 4,3 g of fibre; 10,8 g of protein. Source of niacin (B3), phosphorus, and magnesium.

  • Hello, Maria! The recipe can be consumed by people with type 2 diabetes. Usually we recommend about 1/4 of the amount which is equivalent to 4-5 bites depending on the size of the balls. Enjoy!
