Creamy Oatmeal Porridge with Cinnamon Apple Topping

Enrich your oatmeal porridge with one Yogoody’s sachet for a more complete breakfast. But don’t forget to add just after cooking the oats, to preserve all its nutritional and probiotic goodness. 

Serves: 1 bowl

Preparation + Cooking time: 20 min


1 green apple 

1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey or rice syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon walnuts, chopped

½ cup (40 g) rolled oats

1 cup water

1 sachet of 1.2.3 YOG Original / Protein /Vegan (flavor Vanilla)


  1. Peel the apple, core and cut into eighths. In a bowl, add the apple, rice malt syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and walnuts and toss to coat. Let marinate for 15 minutes, if time permits.
  2. Heat a medium fry pan over medium-high heat. Add the cinnamon apple mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, or until the apple is tender and caramelised.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the oats, water and stir to combine. Once simmering, turn heat down to low, and allow the oat mixture to continue to simmer away for about 5 minutes, or until cooked. Combine the 1.2.3 YOG Original Vanilla powder.
  4. Serve the porridge topped with the cinnamon apples.

Nutritional Value (per portion): 157 kcal; 2,7 g of fat; 22,4 g of carbohydrates (19,1 g of sugars); 10,8 g of fibre; 6,6 g of protein. Rich in vitamin C, vitamin B12 (fortified) and fibre, and source of calcium, folates, riboflavin (B2), and vitamin E.
